We offer placements across a range of the United States. You may be aware that alongside PASS4 SOCCER COACHING we have a long established business where we help talented young players to secure education in the USA through our PASS 4 SOCCER SCHOLARSHIPS. Through that business we have built strong links with Head Coaches across most of the United States.
After receiving initial expressions of interest we decide whether a coach is acceptable to be added to our roster. If the answer is ‘yes’ you need to pay us a small registration fee. For this you will be given an induction day which will give you all of the vital information you need before visiting the USA. If you stay with us after the induction event we provide you with;
- a matching service for opportunities which fit with your availability
- discounted travel service for you and your family and friends
- comprehensive insurance cover at a reduced rate
Anyone wishing to work in the USA (paid or unpaid) must have a valid entry visa. We will guide you through the application process to ensure this is quickly progressed.
Our weekly wage is 350 dollars payable locally. You will probably be aware that the Stirling exchange rate is not good at present but the cost of living in USA is very good and 350 dollars goes a long way when you see how cheap it is to eat out, buy clothes etc.
For residential coaching camps you will be housed in air conditioned accommodation on the college/university campus. All meals and refreshments will be provided at no cost to you. If you work at a day camp you will be booked in to a nearby hotel or hosted by another member of the coaching team.
If you are in the process of building a portfolio to help achieve a higher coaching badge you will of course be able to use lesson plans, and endorsements from the local Head Coach to help you demonstrate your competence.
Also, of you decide to stay in the USA after you have completed you assignment you will have made useful contacts with fellow coaches who will provide you with advice on where to visit, how to book reasonably priced accommodation etc.
Head Coaches will provide you with new kit to wear to support the corporate image of the camp. The shirts track suits etc. are ‘personal issue’ to you and make good souvenirs!
Most of our assignments are for a minimum of 2 – 4 weeks. For coaches who are available for longer stints it is possible to be transferred from one camp to another to maximise your coaching experience.
If after attending the induction event we are unable to match your dates successfully, we will retain your details on our database and give you priority when opportunities arise either later this year or next year.
Yes. As well as providing proof that you have a valid coaching qualification and CRB check, we will tell you of our expectations of you when you attend the induction event. You should also note that Head Coaches will also have expectations of your conduct and quality of performance and they will reserve the right to terminate your engagement if you breach their code of conduct.
Yes, we do see some merits in having friends travel together and we look to accommodate these sorts of request wherever possible.
We look to provide 3 – 4 weeks notice when offering an assignment. In some cases a need for additional coaches is notified to us quite late so if you have applied for a visa early you will be in a stronger position to accept an offer at short notice.
As part of our commitment to you when you register with us we offer a 24 hour support service to answer questions or help resolve any crisis which may arise.
